Supporting our greatest resource: the teachers
- Listen to our outstanding teachers and prioritize their concerns
- Fund teachers' desired subject matter Professional Development
- Prioritize student facing positions
- Incentivize teacher support of enrichment programs/field trips with bonuses/stipends:
- * Model UN
- * Robotics Team
- * Makers Space
- * LE Math Team
- * Latin Field Trips
- * 8th Grade Washington DC Trip, and more
Community empowerment - Your voice must be heard
- The board must represent the values, beliefs and priorities of the community (with a focus on students)
- Transparency to the public must be prioritized
- Eliminate unnecessary non-student facing positions ("administrative bloat") & minimize anything that does not support student learning ("scope creep")
- Reconsider expensive, private professional development programs, especially those that are out-of-state and are irrelevant to teachers' needs/student's benefit
- District employees need to promote fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers and provide a clear budget
- Make community resources ("green space") available to taxpayers
- Enter responsible agreements with revenue generating tenant leases
